Flower CSA FAQs
What is a Flower CSA/Share?
Our flower bouquet CSA shares are much like the popular veggie CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares that you may already be familiar with. When you purchase a share, your pre-payment allows us to plan for the upcoming season and purchase the seeds, bulbs, plants and supplies we need to produce a successful season of blooms.
How does it work?
Beginning mid July, you can pick up your weekly hand-tied bouquet of blooms at your pre-designated location. Since we are at the whim of Mother Nature, exact start date will be determined 1-2 weeks ahead of time and you receive an email to let you know. We appreciate your flexibility and patience!
What are the pick up locations & times?
Old Barn Market - 214 State St, Binghamton (Thursdays from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.)
Organic Yoga - 108 N Jensen Rd, Vestal (Mondays from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
Sterling Stems Flower Farm - 3825 Sally Piper Rd, Endicott (Thursdays from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.)
What if I can’t pick up my share?
Share your share! If you are unable to pick up your flowers on your designated day/time, please send a friend to pick up your share and shoot us an email to let us know who will be coming in your place! If you have chosen on farm pick up, please message us and we may be able to hold your share for up to 24 hours.
How do I care for my flowers?
Each bouquet will come wrapped in kraft paper with a care instruction tag attached. After pick up, they’ll need a fresh cut before putting them into fresh, clean water in the vessel of your choosing. To extend the life of your flowers, change the water regularly and keep out of direct sunlight.
Can I change my pick up location?
If you need to change your pickup location on occasion or permanently, please notify us at least 72 hours before your scheduled pick up day, as we need adequate time to adjust things on our end to provide you with the freshest blooms possible.
